The laboratory area, measuring 700 square metres, contains infrastructures that provide a safe environment for working in the presence of highly flammable gases, such as hydrogen and methane.

The laboratory is equipped with test benches especially designed for the characterisation of fuel cells, batteries and supercapacitors, from a few watts to over 40 kW of power.

In particular, it is possible to carry out charging and discharging cycles on lithium-ion batteries for vehicle applications, in accordance with the ISO standard 12405.

Our experience in industrial research has led to the creation of multiple test benches for system and subsystem characterisation in the field of electrical energy generation and storage.
