{"id":21132,"date":"2021-08-03T15:25:32","date_gmt":"2021-08-03T13:25:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.envipark.com\/?post_type=progetti-p&#038;p=21132"},"modified":"2021-08-03T15:26:01","modified_gmt":"2021-08-03T13:26:01","slug":"fruit-en-go","status":"publish","type":"progetti-p","link":"https:\/\/www.envipark.com\/en\/progetti-p\/fruit-en-go\/","title":{"rendered":"FRUIT-EN-GO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Project Fruit-en-go was financed under the ROP Piemonte ERDF 2007-2013 and involves <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fingranda.it\/\">Fingranda spa<\/a> as lead partner, Environment Park SpA, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denerg.polito.it\/\">Energy Department<\/a> of Politecnico di Torino, T&amp;G Sistemi and <a href=\"https:\/\/sanifrutta.com\/\">Sanifrutta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fruit-en-go aims at assessing the technical, economical and energy sustainability of using agri-food industry by-products in order to produce energy through anaerobic digestion (two-stage process for combined production of biohydrogen and biogas). In this respect, scientific research has demonstrated that a two-stage fermentation process (H2+CH4) leads to an increase in energy yield of at least 20% if compared to energy yield that can be obtained from an anaerobic fermentation plant processing the same waste stream.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the biogas obtainable from a two-stage process is richer in methane (70-85%) then biogas obtained in a standard single-stage industrial process, with resulting benefits in terms of costs associated with any subsequent gas stream purification processes.<\/p>\n<p>Despite such achievements endorsed by scientific research and despite anaerobic fermentation is a well-established technological process, so far there are no large-scale plants for two-stage digestion process of organic matrix.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, the project involves the realisation of a feasibility study which assesses the availability of agri-food industry by-products in the Piedmont area, with the aim of dimensioning an industrial plant for the combined production of hydrogen and biogas through anaerobic fermentation processes, evaluating its economic feasibility.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Our role<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Environment Park collaborates with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enotecarabezzana.it\/\">wine company Rabezzana<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gaiaitaly.com\/\">GAIA Italy srl<\/a> within WP4 (Business plan and territorial impact) in the preparation of the business plan for the two-stage process economic evaluation, by specifically evaluating today\u2019s agricultural waste market and analysing its context and reference regulations.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, Envipark collaborates with Politecnico di Torino (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.denerg.polito.it\/\">Energy Department<\/a>) within WP2 (Technical Feasibility) in the assessment of the technical feasibility of a plant for the valorisation of agri-food sector waste in order to produce biohydrogen and biogas through a two-stage anaerobic fermentation process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Fruit-en-go was financed under the ROP Piemonte ERDF 2007-2013 and involves Fingranda spa as lead partner, Environment Park SpA, the Energy Department of Politecnico di Torino, T&#038;G Sistemi and Sanifrutta.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":21133,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"tags":[],"categoria_progetti":[283,300,311,306,309],"class_list":["post-21132","progetti-p","type-progetti-p","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_progetti-climate-change","categoria_progetti-green-chemistry-lab-en","categoria_progetti-hydrogen","categoria_progetti-measuring-performance","categoria_progetti-testing"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
