The MAKE-UP! project aspires to find new solutions for cosmetic and cleanser sectors, where the demand for biological and sustainable products is continuously increasing. From the organic residues, through hydrolytic extraction, will be extracted humic and fulvic acids, substances included in the category of bio-surfactants, which can replace commercial synthetic surfactants, with consequent advantages in terms of economic and environmental sustainability of the companies involved in the recovery of organic waste.
The project activities contemplate not only the extraction of these high-value molecules, but also the characterization and the analysis of these substances for the formulation of a detergent with antibacterial properties, comply with the requirements in terms of safety and with the regulatory aspects for the marketing of new detergents formulations.
ACEA Pinerolese Industriale SpA and Reynaldi SpA are also collaborating in the project.
THE ROLE OF ENVIPARK
Within the project, Envipark will cooperate in the activities of extraction, analytical characterization and purification of surfactants and in the supply of purified extracts for the formulation of prototype detergent production. Envipark will make available to partnership its previous experience about substances purification and the extraction of functional compound from organic matrix, with the purpose of biochemicals production for the cosmetic sector.
