EVERYWH2ERE

EVERYWH2ERE is a project funded by H2020, the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation, under the FCH JTI – Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking) the public-private partnership supporting research in fuel-cell and hydrogen technologies.

Throughout the project, some European cities are transformed into living labs, designed to demonstrate everyday applications of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies, such as temporary gensets that are used in construction sites, music festivals and temporary events.

EVERYWH2ERE will integrate already demonstrated robust PEMFC stacks and low weight intrinsically safe pressurized hydrogen technologies, into easy to install and easy to transport FC-based transportable gensets. Eight FC containered “plug and play” gensets will be realized and tested in a EU widespread demonstration campaign. The “demonstration to market” approach aims at proving the gensets’ potential and reliability, but also at identifying the ultimate technical and non-technical barriers to be overcome before the commercialization of the products in 2025.

Demonstration results will be capitalized towards the redaction of three replicability studies for the use of the gensets in new contexts (emergency and reconstruction sites, ships cold ironing in harbors, mining industrial sites) and for the definition of a commercial roadmap and suitable business model for the complete marketability of the gensets. A detailed logistic and environmental analysis will be performed to study the complete techno-economic viability of the gensets, and a decision-support tool will be realized to support end-users in future replicability.

A strong dissemination and communication campaign will be conducted particularly during “demonstration events” (more than 25 festivals) in order to increase public audience awareness about FCH technologies.

Our role

In EVERYWH2ERE, Envipark coordinates all demo sites and monitors the 25kW gensets. In addition to this, it will be mainly responsible for the carrying out of temporary events in Italy; however, during some events it will be supported by IREN SPA and IREN ENERGIA.
